Thank you for volunteering your time for the Reclink Community Cup, Melbourne; 15th June 2025 at Victoria Park and all formal training sessions (the Event).

It is a mandatory requirement for every person who is a Volunteer to have read, understood and accepted this Acknowledgment, Waiver & Release prior to commencement as a volunteer for the Event.

I agree that I will maintain the confidentiality of all privileged or proprietary information to which I am exposed through my participation as a volunteer for the Event.

I acknowledge that by participating in the Event, I am at risk of injury. I acknowledge that, while Reclink Australia has taken out insurance cover for volunteers for the Event, the insurance cover may not cover all costs in the event of an injury to me.

That cover is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant insurance policy held by Reclink Australia. A copy of the policy, including the limits of cover, is available on request.

Unfortunately, legislation prohibits a general insurer from providing coverage for medical expenses which attract a Medicare rebate (this also includes amounts incurred which are referred to as the Medicare ‘gap’). Should any further medical expenses be incurred which are not claimable through Medicare or are not fully covered by a Private Health Insurer, please forward these accounts (with the Health Fund Benefit Statement where applicable) to the Reclink Head Office for further consideration by our insurer.

I acknowledge that Reclink Australia does not warrant that cover will be available under the insurance policy or that the policy will cover all conceivable circumstances and injuries.

In exchange for my participation in the Event, I agree that Reclink Australia, its directors, servants, officials, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, volunteers and other participants in the program (collectively, the Associates) are not liable to make any payments (whether by way of indemnity, damages or otherwise) for my death, bodily injury, loss or damage (including property damage or loss) howsoever caused (including by negligence) which may be sustained or incurred by me as a result of my participation in the Event in excess of the limits on cover under the Policy.

I understand and acknowledge that the Event is run in accordance with a drug and alcohol free policy. I acknowledge that if I breach this policy, Reclink Australia and/or any of its Associates are entitled to exclude me from the Event. I understand that if I am under the influence of illicit substances or alcohol at any time during the Event and incur an injury, I will not be covered by the Event volunteer insurance.

I am medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Reclink Australia Activity and I will immediately notify Reclink Australia of any change to my fitness and ability to participate. I understand and accept that Reclink Australia will continue to rely on this declaration as evidence of my fitness and ability to participate.

Media Consent

Reclink Australia staff, volunteers, contractors, suppliers and/or media will be taking photos and filming at the Event, which may be used any time in the future for the purpose of promoting Reclink Australia. By participating in the Event, you agree that Reclink Australia and/or other media outlets may use any photographs and videos featuring your likeness for such purposes.

Data Storage

I recognise that Reclink Australia will store information about my attendance at this event and other demographic and operational data. I give Reclink Australia permission to use my information in a way that assists them to improve this event and meet reporting obligations to government and other funders. I understand that when doing so my identifiable information (phone number, email address, name) will not be included in any data sets shared outside of Reclink, such as funder reports, without my express permission. All details will be shared with team managers.
